The challenge

MVgo and Mountain View Community Shuttle both serve routes within Mountain View, CA. Both needed websites where riders could find routes, check the next departure, and see service changes.

Our work

We handled graphic design and website development for both services. We also manage their GTFS and GTFS-Realtime feeds and advise on GTFS best practices and social media.

Connecting Mountain View

MVgo connects the Mountain View Transit Center with destinations around the city during weekday commute hours. The shuttles are free and open to the public. MVgo’s transportation services reduce single-occupant vehicle traffic by nearly 200,000 vehicles annually.

Mountain View Community Shuttle connects parks, the library, the Senior Center, and El Camino Hospital. It is also free and open to everyone.

Maps, schedules, and live arrivals

Both sites use our open-source GTFS-to-HTML tools. Riders can look up a route, read the timetable, see where shuttles are, and check the next arrival. Service alerts appear alongside the schedules and maps.
