As part of the public engagement for the 2017 Atlanta Transportation Plan, BlinkTag built an interactive web-based “game“ called Meter Made.
The tool was designed to be played on a tablet at a public workshop, and invites users to deposit five votes in “meters” to “make” the biggest improvements in Atlanta’s commute. Not all improvements offer the same benefits, so users are encouraged to replay the game more than once to optimize their choices.
This type of web-based outreach offers users the chance to have their voice heard and engage with the planning process, but also ends up educating users about the costs and benefits of specific infrastructures improvements.
The site launched in 2017, and was a key part of their successful engagement strategy. BlinkTag partnered with Nelson\Nygaard to create this website.
