The Client: James Perry was a mayoral candidate for the city of New Orleans in 2010. A former fair housing advocate, James is a strong candidate promoting public safety, blight reduction, fiscal responsibility, anti-corruption and economic development.
The Project: James Perry 2010 hired BlinkTag Inc to build a campaign website and social media presence for the 2010 Mayoral race in New Orleans. A simple, eye-catching site was developed with attention to details that were meaningful to New Orleanians. James is an avid twitterer and social media played a big role in his campaign, with recent tweets, facebook posts and youtube videos getting prime placement on the campaign site. Perry also used email newsletters and a blog to push breaking news about the campaign. Blinktag worked closely with campaign staff to develop simple an intuitive online volunteer signup and donation forms.
